About us

The WolfPack is a collective based in the Himalaya. We an open source organisation, dedicated to exploring the Indian Himalaya, and to consistently raise the level of mountain professionals.

We focus our work in these major verticals :

* Expeditions - our team regularly attempts expeditions, adhering to the alpine style values, to unclimbed peaks or routes. These climbs aim to push the limits of Indian mountaineering. These expeditions are pulled off by small, self supported teams. These expeditions are (wo)manned by WolfPack Athletes, but opportunities are available to join one of these teams in different capacities. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Please email us.

* Guided expeditions and treks - We plan select expeditions through the year. These may be fixed line mountaineering trips, alpine style climbs, exploratory treks or ski mountaineering. We also organise tailor-made expeditions. We work with clients from the conception stage, working together to find the right expedition, planning, physical training and preparation and gear outfitting.

* Logistics support to teams climbing in the Indian Himalaya - As alpinists ourselves, we know exactly what climbers need (and don't need!). Get in touch with us to execute logistics for your climbs in the Indian Himalaya - we can manage permissions, transport, porterage etc at a budget that works for today's young alpinists.

* Filming and media production - We can provide film-makers with access to high altitude areas, providing location support, safety, high angle camera set-up as well as logistical support.

Why us?

Wolfpack guides have are extremely experienced in their fields, and constantly work to raise their technical qualifications. We see our 'job' as having these mandates, in this order :

1 - Safety of the team : We place utmost importance on safety. To this end, our guides are trained in wilderness first aid, and before every trip, we put in place risk mitigation, evacuation and emergency preparedness protocols.

2 - Safety of the environment : We are strict followers of Leave No Trace principles, and all our efforts are directed to achieving this aim. Starting from the planning of the trip to the very last day, we make every effort to achieve 100% LNT.

3 - Enjoyment and success : Once the first two principles are met, we leave no stone unturned to help out clients reach their mountain ambitions. To this end, we work with extremely skilled and experienced guides, and pay special attention to logistics.

We do not believe in the routine - we stay away from trips where you will meet hundreds of travellers, or climbs that everybody does to get that summit selfie. We attempt new and unique expeditions.
